Learn More About Tracy
Purpose INC was created by Tracy Harrison to help people struggling with inflammatory symptoms to get to the true root cause of their challenges and eliminate them. Tracy helps her clients to become both healthier and happier by making step-by-step, enjoyable, and long-lasting changes. Her mission: to help people to eat on purpose and to live on purpose. And she gets results.
Tracy left an accomplished 15-year career in high-tech to pursue her passions for nutrition, coaching, and helping people maximize their happiness. Her passion for science led her to studying functional medicine. Tracy’s expertise areas are wide-ranging: increasing energy and stamina, healing from stomach and other GI distress, blood sugar management, sustainable weight loss, and how to turn healthy intentions into life-long habits. She also has extensive experience leading small- and large-group seminars and is a prized professional mentor.
Tracy also has a particular passion for helping people who are struggling with chronic disease. So much of conventional medicine today is focused on triage of acute illness, which it usually achieves impressively. However, conventional approaches to chronic disease are often toward the goal of just “managing” patient symptoms. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Using biochemical testing, Purpose clients are able to understand the true root causes of their body’s dis-ease, so that it can be reduced or eliminated at its source. Purpose provides health counseling services to individuals using a team approach, with Tracy completing all initial consultation assessments and implementation support provided by a Purpose health coach whose style and expertise is best matched to each unique client.
Tracy is particularly passionate about mentoring other healthcare providers and teaching them clinical pearls of functional medicine and biochemical foundations of disease. If you are a healthcare practitioner and desire to know more about the clinical myths and truths behind today’s most pressing medical issues and symptoms and the science of functional medicine, you may want to learn more about The School of Applied Functional Medicine.
Tracy’s health coaching certification is from Columbia University for the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. She has post-graduate training from the Institute of Functional Medicine and Bridgeport University. She also holds Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Engineering from MIT and a Masters degree in Management from The Sloan School at MIT. Tracy held a variety of technical and managerial roles during her semiconductor industry tenure, most recently at Intel Corporation – from technology program management to executive leadership.
Tracy supports clients all across the US and abroad. She also travels to provide group presentations for myth-busting about common health misconceptions.
