Hormone Serendipity on Nantucket

Another fabulous week on Nantucket island, specifically talking with women in small groups about navigating the confusing terrain of hormones. Thank you again to dear Nancy Wittenberg for being our gracious hostess (and my lovely assistant Harriet for joining us)! Though they are typically present in our blood in only picogram per milliliter levels (that’s one trillionth of a gram in about ¼ tsp of blood!), hormones are incredibly powerful. And they act like a well-tuned symphony in our bodies. The work-related stress you feel affects your menstrual cycle. That bagel you had for breakfast affects your sex drive. Where hormone are concerned, more is not better and can put you at greater risk of many diseases! But so can not having enough. If you are confused about hormones, consider joining us for our Women’s Vitality webinar later this month. Give yourself the gift of knowledge and peace of mind this summer.
