Here’s unsolicted feedback from a recent group of friends who arranged a custom seminar and cooking demo:

I wanted to let you know how much everyone enjoyed the evening. The feedback I have been receiving is amazing. You exceeded everyone’s expectations! I mentioned doing this again with the group and have been told by everyone that they are “IN”. In fact, I had a few people approach me in the office that just heard about our evening. I would love to do it again. Thanks for an informative and enjoyable evening.

Sustainable Energy

Do you wake up in the morning bursting with energy or dragging your feet? Why are Americans chronically tired? Our nutrition and health counselor will show you an all natural, low stress, no gimmick recipe to gain all the energy you will ever need. Exhaustion does not have to be an inevitable sign of “getting older”! The average American diet leads us down that path. However, there are some surprisingly simple solutions that really work – many of which go against what you hear promoted in the media. Come to this fun, interactive session filled with myth-busting education and practical solutions.

Uncovering the Big Fat Lie !?

Are you afraid to eat fat? Do you believe that if you eat fat, you will get fat? Are you constantly checking labels for fat grams and skimping on the oil or butter with a grimace? Join us as we blow the lid off common health myths about fat and share why it’s crucial for good health (yes, even for weight loss!). Did you know that avoiding fat can make you put on fat? Learn which fats are truly dangerous to your health and which ones are absolutely critical to eat to help you avoid chronic illness. We will sample a wide variety of dishes that use natural, sumptuous foods like extra virgin olive oil, avocado, bacon, butter, and nuts. I will teach you how to choose high-quality fats for use in your own kitchen, and you’ll take home all the recipes to help you get started.

Stress Busters – Glorious Greens!

Come have some fun and learn more about one of nature’s healthiest foods: greens! Are you ever tempted at the grocery store to buy one of those bunches of greens in the produce section? Yet you aren’t really sure what to do with it? Do you cook it or eat it raw? How do you cook it? And will it taste good? Join me for an evening of experimenting with greens. We’ll try many different types of greens, prepared in a wide variety of simple and delicious ways. You’ll be sure to find one or two that you and your family can enjoy and easily add to your diet. Healthy – and Delicious – Vegetarian Eating

Do you think every meal needs a piece of meat to be satisfying? This event is perfect for vegetarians, for meat-lovers, or for those who simply want more alternatives and variety in their diet beyond the typical American fare. Vegetarian dishes really can be hearty, delicious, and satisfying. Don’t believe me? Come and see for yourself! Learn how you can build a balanced single meal – or a lifestyle – using food from the earth. Many people who avoid eating meat or other animal products end up being “junkfood-atarians”. Join us to learn to “make your own take-out”, sample several popular Chinese dishes, and collect recipes to take home. It’s easier than you think, and these are great dishes for the whole family. We’ll also talk about specific things to beware in restaurant foods to keep your family thriving.

Do you often crave sweets, breads, chips or candy? Did you know that the average American consumes 185 lbs of sugar each year? Call it our national obsession, a daily craving, and for many, an addiction. This valuable workshop will help you learn why we crave/eat so much sugar. You will be surprised at where you unknowingly eat it everyday! What makes a trip to Dunkin Donuts at 10am or the vending machine at 3pm so incredibly irresistible? What will make the cravings go away? How does all this make it impossible to lose weight? And contribute to high cholesterol and heart disease? Come and learn the answers to all these issues and sample how you can satisfy your sweet tooth without derailing your health.

Testimonials

During Tracy’s presentation, “Beat the Sugar Blues”, to our group of about 40 employees at Akibia last week, we were utterly mesmerized by her! Not only did Tracy take some very complex and often mis-understood myths about sugar and make them understandable, she also made the learning enjoyable. We were on the edge of our seats listening to what she had to say next. One attendee described her style as “infectious”. As a member of the Wellness Committee at Akibia, I was proud to host and have Tracy deliver another hugely successful program!
