Logistics and Details

Participants.  This is a retreat only for women.  It may actually be our last women-only retreat, so I encourage you to seize the opportunity and join us!  We are looking at options for a special couples’ retreat at some point in the future.

Booking.  A 50% deposit is required in order to secure a reservation.  The remaining 50% deposit will be due 45 days prior to your retreat start date.

Payments.   All payment are received online via Paypal and may be taken care of via any credit card or bank draft. We use Paypal to allow guests to keep their financial details private and secure.

Cancellations. Reservations may be canceled with a full refund (minus a $50 administrative fee) up to 60 days before the retreat start date. Unless a canceled reservation can be filled immediately (within two calendar weeks), cancellations received 31-59 days will be charged at 50% of the retreat cost. Cancellations received within 30 days prior to the start date cannot be refunded but are certainly open for the guest to confirm a suitable, substitute participant at least two weeks prior to the retreat.  All cancellations must be made via a call to our office (508-944-1407) and cannot be accepted via email.

Travel.  Please do not book any travel until after your reservation is actually confirmed via personal email to you from our retreat administrator.  Here are some important travel guidelines.

  • Guests should plan to arrive at the Asheville airport (AVL) between 2pm and 5pm on the first day of their retreat and to depart no earlier than 2pm on the last day.  If you are looking for a bargain, Allegiant airlines flies into Asheville from a few locations in Florida which might provide an inexpensive connection from your departure city (via Allegiant or another airline).  You will want to depart from Asheville at 2pm or later on Sunday.
  • Alternatively, you may fly into the Charlotte, NC (CLT) or Greenville, SC (GSP) airport and enjoy the beautiful drive through the mountains to Asheville; there is an excellent local shuttle service: http://www.ashevilleshuttle.com/asheville/ .  Please note, however, that if you are flying into Charlotte or Greenville, you will definitely need to arrive by noon at the latest on Thursday to allow transport time to Asheville (and depart from those airports on Sunday no earlier than 4pm).
  • If you are driving yourself to the retreat, please plan to arrive at the estate no earlier than 4:30pm.
  • We will provide pick-up specifically from the Asheville airport or the Asheville shuttle drop-off location (for connection to other area airports).  Upon departure from the estate, we can arrange transport either back to the Asheville airport or shuttle or into downtown Asheville for those looking to extend their stay in this beautiful area. Either way, you’ll have a healthy boxed lunch in hand for your travels.

Roommates. A retreat is a perfect venue to catch up with a dear friend, celebrate life with a sister, or reunite with a long-lost college roommate. If you have a friend who wishes to attend a retreat with you, that’s great!  However, most people happily and comfortably attend retreats on their own. I have co-led many retreats over the years in which two initial strangers sharing a room become dear friends – and perhaps a perfect fit for what they are seeking on retreat. The king suites are luxuriously spacious with plenty of room for two (half of a king bed is much larger than a twin-sized). If you are hesitant about attending on your own, please don’t be. We are happy to discuss any concerns with you. If you would like to save some money and share a cozy, queen bed with a friend, please let us know, and we will be happy to offer you and your friend a special rate.

No room?  Yes, we know these events will fill up quickly!  Once a retreat is fully booked, we will begin to keep a waiting list (ordered first come, first served) for available cancellations.

Missing something you want to see?  Please share.  We would love to hear from you!

This time of year, this is a weekly choice in my own home.  Rich, hearty, and satisfying.  Be sure to make a lot at once for an easy snack and side dishes the rest of the week.  For some extra crunch (and healthy fats!), top this with crushed, toasted walnuts. 4 Carrots (and/or parsnips) 2… Read More »

Testimonials

Dear Tracy,
I wanted to give testament to your Cleanse. I have conducted the cleanse using your routine 3 times over the last 1 1/2 years (every 6 months) and for the first time in 20 years my cholesterol has dropped significantly. In fact, my total cholesterol dropped 40 points from 197 to 152 and LDL dropped 120 to 79. My ratios went from the 4 range to the 2 range. The only thing I have changed in the last 1 1/2 year is adding the cleanse. It is astounding!!! I have always been fit, exercised and watched my diet, but it always frustrated myself that my cholesterol hovered so closely to 200. My cholesterol over the last 20 years has always been 180-190’s and my LDL have always been 120-130. Cleansing every 6 months will now be a lifestyle change for me. Anyone struggling with high cholesterol should definitely try this cleanse and I am more than happy to speak with anyone. Thank you so much!!!
